Charles Kay inducted into the thermal spray Hall of Fame

We are proud to share that Charles Kay, former President of Hannecard Roller Coatings Inc., has been inducted into the Thermal Spray Hall of Fame by the ASM Thermal Spray Society.

This prestigious honor recognizes Charles’s outstanding contributions to the advancement of thermal spray and cold spray technologies throughout his career. As a Fellow of ASM International and Past President of the Thermal Spray Society (TSS), Charles has been instrumental in shaping innovation across the industry, fostering global collaborations, and promoting the application of surface technologies in both established and emerging markets.
Charles joined ASB Industries in 1985 and played a central role in its development as a trusted provider of thermal spray solutions. Following the acquisition of ASB Industries by Hannecard in 2021, he continued to guide the company’s evolution until his retirement at the end of 2024.

His Hall of Fame recognition is a testament to his vision, leadership, and commitment to excellence in surface engineering.
