CNC Operator

Apply NowmarkerOhio (USA)

Come roll with us

At Hannecard, what we achieve is the sum of countless individual efforts — and we look for people who want to grow with us, not just punch a clock. This CNC Operator role is a genuine entry point into a machining career: hands-on production work operating CNC equipment and grinding machines, with a clear path toward becoming a fully developed machinist over time.

Why this role matters

Our rollers are built to outperform — customers choose Hannecard because our rollers run longer and help them produce better product, and that reputation is earned on the machine. As a CNC Operator, the precision and consistency you bring to every part directly shapes the quality our customers count on. This is also where we build our next generation of machinists — the skills you develop here are the foundation for a longer career with us.

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain CNC machines, following technical specifications to ensure accurate, efficient production.
• Set up, operate, and edit CNC programs; work with G & M codes for programming and troubleshooting (we'll train you on this — willingness to learn is what matters most).
• Learn and operate OD grinders early on — grinding is a core, expected part of this role from the start, not an optional add-on.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure output meets production standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues related to machine operation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Work independently while maintaining high precision
• Collaborate with fellow CNC operators and the broader production team.

How you'll grow

You'll report to a working supervisor who will train you hands-on, building your skills from CNC operation and grinding toward broader machining capability over time. This role is explicitly a development track — as your precision, independence, and troubleshooting ability grow, so does your scope and your pay. We invest a meaningful portion of our budget every year in developing our people, and we promote from within.

What you'll bring

• Mechanically inclined, with strong problem-solving skills
• Experience with precision machining is a plus, but not required — a willingness to learn G & M codes and CNC programming matters more than prior CNC experience
• Openness to learning OD grinding early, since it's a core part of this role
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards
• Stress-resistant, deadline-driven, and comfortable in a production environment

 Who thrives here

Someone who's mechanically curious, detail-oriented, and genuinely wants to build a long-term machining career rather than just fill a seat for now. If you like the idea of starting on CNC and grinding and growing into a fully developed machinist, you'll do well here.

Remuneration & Working Conditions:

• Competitive wages and benefits
• Stable, long-term opportunity within a growing company
• Supportive team environment, working directly with fellow CNC operators and production team members
• Training opportunities for skill enhancement and career growth, with a clear path toward a full machinist role
